Ambition is the last refuge of failure.
I by no definition of any kind am a critic of movies. I only have my opinion, so consider yourself forewarned.

I went to see Crash last night. It was by far the best movie I have seen in a long time. The storyline is intense, and honest. The movie deals with racism, and I really cannot come up with workds to describe the feeling that comes into the theater while you are watching this movie. The best word I can coem up with is realization.

The movie is the extreme of what is said and done everyday, but at the same time it is believable. IT's a clash of cultures that happens in every state, and though only in some of the worst places in the U.S, the situations that arise out of that clash are a clash of reality to our little self-absorbed worlds.

There is a line in the movie at the beginning that I love, and I wish I could write it word for word, but I can't. What I remember is "People love to be touched, we need to be touched. Here in L.A. nobody touches anyone...we are all hidden in our worlds behind glass and steel...Sometimes we crash (as in car crash) into each other just so we can touch someone."

Just watch it. It's really good, and it will reduce even the most stoic men to tears, believe me.
